Hudson Valley Press – Rockland Community College has once again received two prestigious recognitions for its Nursing Program. NursingProcess.org, a website that compiles nursing education and career information data, ranked RCC’s program # 2 out of 153 New York State Board of Nursing approved schools to pursue an associate degree program in nursing.

Hudson Valley News & Events – Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) , U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and U.S. Representative Mondaire Jones (D-NY) announced $2,960,808 in federal funding for Rockland Community College (RCC). The funding was allocated through the Title V program, which provides resources for Hispanic-serving institutions to expand educational opportunities and enhance programs, fasciitis, and equipment for students.

News 12 – Mount Vernon High School and Rockland Community College have teamed up with a new partner to get students into automotive jobs. Under the program, Ford Motor Company and dealership Scarsdale Ford take students who are into cars and turn them into auto tech experts.

Rockland County Business Journal – Rockland Community College (RCC) has begun a national search for its 8th president after Dr. Michael A. Baston, who led the school for five years, accepted a new position last July. The college has hired Isaacson, Miller to lead the presidential search.
